Junior Investigator Workshop & Travel Grant

As part of the PSG’s mission, we strive to engage with and educate early-stage clinicians that are interested in a career in Parkinson’s research. This grant seeks to fund travel to support exploration of this through attendance at our annual conference and through training at our Junior Investigator Workshop. The PSG supports diversity and inclusion, and we hope that this grant will also help those that otherwise might not be able to attend. This year’s workshop will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 12pm – 5pm.

Eligibility:  Open to current fellows and junior investigators (both foreign and domestic) who are within 5-years of completing fellowship training in Movement Disorders Neurology or a related area of relevance to PD and neurotherapeutics (e.g. Clinical Neuropharmacology, Psychiatry, Biostatistics, Nonpharmacologic Treatments, etc.) You do not have to be a PSG member to apply or from a PSG site. We encourage applicants to view our abstract submission portal as well.

Travel Stipend:

  • Economy airfare $650 domestic/$1,000 international
  • 3 nights hotel stay at the Grand Hyatt, Nashville, TN
  • $150 for transportation (airport parking, taxi, & rideshare)

Please note that the stipend does not cover additional meals outside of what is served at the meeting. If you would like to drive instead of fly, PSG will reimburse mileage at the current rate of $0.67 per mile. Any expenses above/outside of the costs stated above must get approval from PSG Executive Director, Sarah Sperling.

Conditions of the Travel Grant:
