The Parkinson Study Group is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff. Specific health and safety measures are detailed below.
Vaccination required to attend the PSG Meeting in-person in Phoenix
All attendees must be “fully vaccinated” (as defined by the CDC at the time of the meeting) and must verify full COVID-19 vaccination status to attend the 34th Annual Symposium & 32nd Annual Meeting in Phoenix. Proof of vaccination will be required as part of the registration for the meeting.
Local COVID-19 Policies
The state of Arizona is not under any COVID restrictions as of March 25, 2021, per Executive Order 2021-26. However, there are still some businesses who have elected to remain closed or modify hours. Businesses are also able to determine their own regulations in terms of mask wearing and social distancing. NOTE: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport DOES require the use of face masks in airport facilities per federal mandate. If you are looking to find out more information regarding visiting the Phoenix area, please refer to this site: https://www.visitphoenix.com/covid-19/
Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass
The Governor of the Gila River Indian Reservation has a mask mandate in place. That means that in public areas, masks are required. Once you enter your private meeting space or if you are having your meeting outside, masks are at your discretion. In addition, the hotel is allowing for self-serve buffets. The staff sanitizes serving items often and replaces them throughout the service period. There are extra sanitizer stations throughout the foyer spaces and at the beginning of each buffet and on all food stations. Health and safety protocols will be updated as needed.
