Movement Disorder Faculty Position

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center of Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time BC/BE neurologist who has completed fellowship training in movement disorders.  The position is intended for a highly motivated clinician/scientist at the assistant, associate, or full professor level.  The successful applicant will ideally have the training and experience to be a key contributor to an active DBS program with collaborators consisting of 1 functional neurosurgeon, 2 neuropsychologists and 4 movement disorder neurologists. Experience with DBS programming is preferred. The successful candidate will also participate in a busy outpatient practice including the region’s only academic therapeutic neurotoxin treatment program for dystonia and an HDSA Center of Excellence.  The center also has well established and successful clinical trial and collaborative research programs. A commitment to the teaching of residents and medical students is required.
